{"id":1105,"date":"2026-06-29T10:27:59","date_gmt":"2026-06-29T10:27:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/is.imsb.info\/?p=1105"},"modified":"2026-06-29T10:27:59","modified_gmt":"2026-06-29T10:27:59","slug":"senatobia-residents-rally-in-honor-of-kohen-wiley-ahead-of-visitation-funeral","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/is.imsb.info\/?p=1105","title":{"rendered":"Senatobia residents rally in honor of Kohen Wiley ahead of visitation, funeral"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Protesters and supporters marched through Senatobia, Mississippi, on Friday afternoon, June 26, to honor the life of 1-year-old Kohen Wiley while also calling for answers and accountability in his death during a police involved shooting.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1106\" src=\"http:\/\/is.imsb.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/Q1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1000\" height=\"1000\" srcset=\"https:\/\/is.imsb.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/Q1.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/is.imsb.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/Q1-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/is.imsb.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/Q1-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/is.imsb.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/Q1-768x768.jpg 768w, https:\/\/is.imsb.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/Q1-600x600.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Kohen\u2019s, mother and father, Vellesiya Wiley and Davion Williams, with the help of others, carried a banner that read \u201cRest in Heaven \u2013 Justice for Kohen Wiley,\u201d as dozens of people marched from Walmart, where the baby was killed, to Senatobia City Hall. The Walmart was closed during the march as were other businesses along the rally route.<\/p>\n<p>Kohen Wiley was struck by police fire on June 14, while sitting on his mother\u2019s lap on the p\u1d00ssenger side of a vehicle being driven by another woman in the Walmart parking lot.
