Aamina Bradley\u00a0was identified as the teen who drowned Saturday evening, June 27, 2026, near\u00a0Maheras-Gentry Park\u00a0on Detroit\u2019s east side. Her quick, selfless actions saved her younger cousin\u2019s life\u2026 but powerful\u00a0river\u00a0currents pulled Aamina under before she could make it back to shore.<\/p>\n

\u201cAamina, she loved the water. I\u2019d take her to the pool, she would swim, different things like that, they\u2019d play games\u2026 just in a river, in that type of setting, in that current, it pulls you out,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
