<\/p>\nA MYSTERIOUS vigilante has been dubbed \u201cMexican Batman\u201d after chasing down suspected motorbike thieves and duct taping them to lampposts.<\/p>\n

At least five men have been found bound to street poles with their mouths taped and the word \u201cthief\u201d scribbled across their faces in the past two weeks.<\/p>\n
Two men tied up by a vigilante dubbed Mexican Batman in Lagos de Moreno, Jalisco<\/p>\n
Several of the men were found injured, apparently beaten by Batman<\/p>\n
An unidentified local has taken drastic measures against a huge spike in bike thefts in Lagos de Moreno,\u00a0Jalisco, by ruthlessly attacking a string of people.<\/p>\n
PH\u0e4f\u03c4os show the alleged thieves strapped to street poles with huge amounts of tape around their arms and bodies.<\/p>\n
Several had \u201cratero\u201d scrawled across their forehead in marker pen, which means thief in Spanish.<\/p>\n
So-called Mexican\u00a0Batman\u00a0also drew moustaches and cat whiskers on the men as his supposed calling card.<\/p>\n
The vigilante also left large\u00a0pink\u00a0signs above the men detailing what they\u2019re alleged to have done.<\/p>\n
The supposed stolen bikes were also left nearby to illustrate the men\u2019s alleged crimes.<\/p>\n
Police stressed that the men found tied up are the ones being treated as the victims.<\/p>\n
Several showed signs of being beaten up by the individual with one left bloodied and bruised.<\/p>\n
The men were left tied up with duct tape in the street<\/p>\n
A wanna-be superhero has taken drastic action in response to a spate of bike thefts<\/p>\n
Police in Jalisco are now on the hunt to catch the wannabe superhero.<\/p>\n
The first person to be discovered was on June 13, when a young man was found tied to a post, left with a cardboard sign accusing him of being a thief.<\/p>\n
In the following days, more men were found taped up, seemingly by the same perpetrator, who left all the alleged thieves in similar states.<\/p>\n
State Security Secretary Juan Pablo Hern\u00e1ndez said a total of five cases have been reported, with cops H\u0e4f\u03c4 on the Mexican\u2019s trail.<\/p>\n
He added that though no suspects have yet been arrested, police have identified two vehicles that they think are connected to the attacks.<\/p>\n
The men left tied up were cut down and all treated for their injuries.<\/p>\n
It comes after female vigilantes patrolled the nearby state of Michoco\u00e1n carrying \u1d00ssault rifles to protect themselves from the bloodthirsty Jalisco New Generation cartel.<\/p>\n
