CNN accused of SECOND Charlie Kirk shooting scandal as lawmaker accuses them of selective editing

MAGA firebrand Anna Paulina Luna has blasted CNN, accusing the network of deceptively editing footage to smear her remarks after the assassination of Charlie Kirk.

The Florida congresswoman tore into the cable giant and anchor Kaitlan Collins, claiming they cut out the moment Democrats booed Rep. Lauren Boebert’s request to hold a prayer for the slain 31-year-old just hours after he was gunned down.

CNN’s coverage is now under fire, with Luna insisting the edit stripped away the context of her furious response. ‘When asked simply to pray for a grieving family, they booed. That behavior is disgusting,’ she raged on X. ‘This edited clip is yet another example of how far CNN will go — and how low they’ll sink — for ratings.’

Collins hit back more than 12 hours later, insisting: ‘Actually, we just aired a clip of what happened on the House floor and then asked Republican Speaker Mike Johnson about it. We also asked the Democratic congressman we had on later in the show about it.’

But the raw footage tells a different story. After Boebert’s plea, around a dozen Democrats erupted in unison, chanting ‘No!’ before one shouted: ‘Pass some gun laws!’

The liberal heckling sent Republicans into a frenzy. ‘You f***ing own this!’ Luna screamed across the chamber, her fury now magnified by what she calls CNN’s ‘dishonest coverage.’

CNN has also drawn fierce criticism for refusing to acknowledge the transgender messages found engraved on bullets used in Charlie Kirk’s assassination, instead describing them only as “phrases related to cultural issues.”

The Wall Street Journal first reported that bullets were ‘engraved with transgender and antifascist ideology’ based on an ATF notice, but CNN’s sanitized coverage has sparked accusations of ‘gaslighting’ and ‘shameless’ reporting from critics who say the network is deliberately obscuring key details about the killer’s apparent motive.

Luna accused Democrats earlier in the day of being the origin of the violence against Kirk.

‘I am done with the rhetoric this rotten House and corrupt media has caused,’ she posted on X shortly after the news of the shooting broke. ‘Every d*** one of you who called us fascists did this.’

Republican Congresswoman Nancy Mace echoed Luna’s comments when speaking with reporters outside of the Capitol following Wednesday’s floor session.

‘Democrats own what happened today,’ Mace told members of the press.

The conservative commentator, 31, was shot and killed during a rally at Utah Valley University on Wednesday by a gunman who was caught on camera dashing across a rooftop in the moments after he opened fire.

Father-of-two Kirk was hit by a single bullet while speaking to a crowd at the public university in Orem. He collapsed immediately after being hit by the gunfire and was rushed to hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

President Donald Trump announced Kirk’s death and posted a moving tribute to him on Truth Social.

‘No one understood or had the Heart of the Youth in the United States of America better than Charlie.

A major manhunt by both the FBI and Utah police is currently underway.
