Man Thrown to Ground and Arrested for Trampling On Charlie Kirk Memorial in Chaotic Scene
A man was roughed up and arrested after trying to destroy a memorial to slain conservative leader Charlie Kirk outside the Turning Point USA offices in Phoenix, AZ on Sunday, authorities say.
Fox News reporter Matt Finn posted video to X, writing, “WATCH: Man tramples on Charlie Kirk memorial at TP USA. He is taken to the ground by onlookers and then arrested. He traveled about 15 yards through the memorial, kicked over flowers, vases and flags and balloons, according to our photog.”
Finn also posted a police report with details of the incident:
A man is in custody after trespassing onto the grounds of a private business and destroying a community memorial.
On September 14, 2025, at approximately 9:50 a.m., officers were directed to a man who was seen damaging a community memorial in front of a business near 48th Street and Beverly Rd. Officers were in the area to assist with traffic control due to a large community presence in the area following recent events.
The man, later identified as 19-year-old Ryder Corral was detained by witnesses until he was taken into custody by responding officers. There are no serious injuries to report.
Corral will be booked on multiple charges to include criminal damage and disorderly conduct.
Fox reporter John Scott broadcast video of the arrest, saying, “Man trampled the memorial for Charlie Kirk at the turning point headquarters in Phoenix. This happened not too long ago. Our fotog on the scene says the man kicked over flowers, vases and balloons. He was taken to the ground by on-looker and then arrested.”
Earlier in the broadcast, Scott said that there was “digging at the site today where the infamous white tent was that Charlie was shot in. Officials tell grass is being laid up and flowers to revive the area. One school officials says they are trying to make it beautiful again.”
Kirk’s suspected killer, Tyler Robinson, is being held without bail in a Utah jail. He’s expected to be formally charged on Tuesday.
