In the midst of escalating clashes between ICE agents, National Guard troops, and far-left groups, including Antifa, over immigration enforcement, the left has found itself in a precarious position with one of its most ludicrous talking points yet: denying the existence of Antifa.
This denial comes despite the fact that President Donald Trump has officially designated Antifa as a foreign terrorist organization, a significant step that highlights the growing concern over the group’s activities and influence.
The debate surrounding Antifa has reached new heights, with incidents of violence and unrest spreading across multiple major U.S. cities. As protests erupt in response to the removal of illegal immigrants, far-left agitators, including Antifa members, have become increasingly visible in their actions, leading to confrontations with law enforcement and National Guard personnel.
In a disturbing turn, conservative commentator Gunther Eagleman™ posted on X (formerly Twitter) that radical left-wing organizers have begun distributing instructions to activists on how to “overwhelm ICE,” further fueling the chaos.
Eagleman’s post revealed that left-wing activists are actively strategizing to overwhelm and ambush federal officers. He pointed out that this direct threat to ICE agents represents a significant danger to the safety of law enforcement personnel, urging the National Guard to step up security nationwide.
His call to action underscores the increasing risks faced by federal personnel in the line of duty as Antifa and similar radical factions continue to engage in disruptive and violent actions.
Despite mounting evidence that Antifa exists and is engaged in violent tactics, some leading Democratic figures have doubled down on the absurd claim that the group does not exist.
One of the most vocal proponents of this narrative is Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison, who has gone so far as to deny Antifa’s institutional existence. In a statement on Saturday, Ellison insisted that “there really is no Antifa as an institutional organization” and even claimed that the first time he ever heard the term “Antifa” was from none other than President Donald Trump, particularly in reference to the violence during the 2017 Charlottesville rally.
Ellison’s claim about the origins of the term is not only historically inaccurate but also conveniently ignores his own actions. In a shocking twist, it was revealed that back in 2018, Ellison had proudly tweeted a photo of himself holding an Antifa handbook, a book that he described as “striking fear in the heart of Donald Trump.”
The fact that Ellison, a prominent Democratic figure, is now claiming that Antifa doesn’t exist, despite his previous affinity for the group, has led many to question his credibility and the broader dishonesty within the Democratic Party on this issue.
This about-face by Ellison is far from an isolated incident. It is part of a disturbing pattern of denial and willful ignorance that seems to characterize the left’s approach to certain uncomfortable truths.
Instead of confronting the growing threat posed by Antifa and similar far-left movements, many Democrats—including Ellison—have chosen to bury their heads in the sand, refusing to acknowledge the reality of the situation.
Their efforts to dismiss the group as a mere fabrication of Trump’s rhetoric reflect an attempt to rewrite history and silence the very real concerns of those who have witnessed Antifa’s violent tactics firsthand.
