We all love plants that can go for more days without asking for water much—redefining the ease of maintenance. Keeping that in mind, here are some spectacular drought tolerant vines that will go that extra mile without too much fuel!
1. Bougainvillea (Bougainvillea spp.)
We all love blooming plants (bracts in this case) that can flower effortlessly without demanding too much water, right? With bougainvilleas, they can go without demanding a drench for about 7-10 days.
A week full of no worries after you have watered them good.
2. Trumpet Vine (Campsis radicans)
Another trailing drought tolerant vine that flowers so good, you just can’t have one in your garden! Like the plant above, trumpet vine can also go for 8-9 days like a champ without watering between sessions.
Water deeply once a week is the mantra!
3. Cat’s Claw Vine (Macfadyena unguis-cati)
Now this one beats the above two by almost 2 days, when it comes to the tolerance of going without water. Once you have saturated its growing medium deeply, it won’t ask for it again for a good 10-12 days!

This has to be one of the most fragrant vines you can grow in garden and containers. Once you have watered it, it will last for 7-8 days without a fuss!
However, keep an eye on the soil, as these plants need direct sunlight exposure for 6 hours at least, and that can dry up the soil in some areas pretty quick.
5. Carolina Jessamine (Gelsemium sempervirens)

Don’t let the similar sounding name fool you! This one has bigger flowers that come in a sunny, canary hue. The plant has “drought tolerant” itched on its collar, and can go without it for 6-7 days with ease.
When it stops flowering, the plant still shines as a great foliage specimen.
6. Silver Lace Vine (Polygonum aubertii)
The stunning white flowers of these vine matches amazingly well with the dark green foliage. Once you have watered it deeply, you can be worry free for the coming 7-8 days at least.
Just remember, be a little careful with the watering until the plant establishes itself.
7. Black Eyed Susan (Thunbergia alata)
THE plant to have if you have an arbor, railing, or any tall grill in the garden. If you don’t have them, don’t worry! Black-eyed Susan can be a perfect companion for containers, too.

The champion evergreen drought tolerant vine that will never disappoint you with its lush foliage, no matter the time of the year! English Ivy can easily go for 7-8 days between watering sessions, easily.
In fact, water it only when the topsoil feels a little dry to the touch, to keep it thriving and safe from root rot issues.
10. Climbing Aloe (Aloiampelos ciliaris)
The last one of this list is the underdog! Why? Well, how many climbing succulents you know about? Being a one, it is an undisputed king of storing water, the reason why it doesn’t need any moisture once you have watered it, for close to 13-15 days!
