A MYSTERIOUS vigilante has been dubbed “Mexican Batman” after chasing down suspected motorbike thieves and duct taping them to lampposts.

At least five men have been found bound to street poles with their mouths taped and the word “thief” scribbled across their faces in the past two weeks.

An unidentified local has taken drastic measures against a huge spike in bike thefts in Lagos de Moreno, Jalisco, by ruthlessly attacking a string of people.
PH๏τos show the alleged thieves strapped to street poles with huge amounts of tape around their arms and bodies.
Several had “ratero” scrawled across their forehead in marker pen, which means thief in Spanish.
So-called Mexican Batman also drew moustaches and cat whiskers on the men as his supposed calling card.
The vigilante also left large pink signs above the men detailing what they’re alleged to have done.
The supposed stolen bikes were also left nearby to illustrate the men’s alleged crimes.
Police stressed that the men found tied up are the ones being treated as the victims.
Several showed signs of being beaten up by the individual with one left bloodied and bruised.

A wanna-be superhero has taken drastic action in response to a spate of bike thefts
Police in Jalisco are now on the hunt to catch the wannabe superhero.
The first person to be discovered was on June 13, when a young man was found tied to a post, left with a cardboard sign accusing him of being a thief.
In the following days, more men were found taped up, seemingly by the same perpetrator, who left all the alleged thieves in similar states.
State Security Secretary Juan Pablo Hernández said a total of five cases have been reported, with cops H๏τ on the Mexican’s trail.
He added that though no suspects have yet been arrested, police have identified two vehicles that they think are connected to the attacks.
The men left tied up were cut down and all treated for their injuries.
It comes after female vigilantes patrolled the nearby state of Michocoán carrying ᴀssault rifles to protect themselves from the bloodthirsty Jalisco New Generation cartel.
The group of women warriors have built a homemade tank and roadblocks to help fend off Jalisco gunmen, who are responsible for a surge in homicides in the region.
